We are sad to announce that, on April 6, 2023, Joyce Marie Colson of Lincoln, Nebraska, born in Pawnee City, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Iola Colson; and her grandparents, Elmer and Lauretta Colson. She is survived by: her siblings, Carol Stermensky (Gage Stermensky), Cathy Beutler and Rob Colson; her aunts, Diane Hall, Saundra Menninga and Betty Colson; and her uncle Richard Colson. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

JC requested memorials to St. Elizabeth Foundation designated for Volunteer Services.

“I had the greatest pleasure of working with JC many years ago at JC Penney in Lincoln. We used to tell her that she really owned the store since, after all, it was named after her! She was a blessing to all that new her. I have many fond memories of JC. She always had on bright red lipstick and such a tremendous smile that just lit up the room. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of her family and friends. Rest in Love sweet friend. Stacy Acklie (nee Nichols)”
