She is survived by: her children, Steve Hanika (Patti) of Wheaton, IL and Cindy Brunken (Steve) of Lincoln, NE.; her grandchildren, Justin Hanika (Meghan) of Winfield, IL, Kristin Hanika of Wheaton, IL, Scott Brunken (Ryan) of Lincoln, NE and Lauren Newman (Jordan) of Lincoln, NE.; her great grandchildren, Madison, Aiden Hanika, Emily, Wade Brunken and Rylee Newman; her nieces and nephews, Rob Kinsey, Polli Kinsey, Scott Kinsey, Doug Kinsey, Karen Brady and Rich Kinsey; and her spouse Dale Hanika.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to the Capital Humane Society in Lincoln, NE, reflecting Kay's love and compassion for dogs.
