With heavy hearts, we announce the death of LaVern Lee Johnston of Lincoln, Nebraska, who passed away on September 7, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry LaVern's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May LaVern's journey be filled with peace and serenity, and may he find rest in the embrace of eternity.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Johnston and Shirley Johnston (Horn); and his siblings, Sheila Johnston Spitz and Johnny Johnston. He is survived by: his siblings, Allen Johnston, Linda Johnson and Joni Hann.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home (601 N Webb Rd, Grand Island, NE 68803). A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery (3826 W Stolley Park Rd, Grand Island, NE 68803).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are kindly suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
