He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Bruhn and Violet Bruhn (Keeler); his parents-in-law, Eldon and Helen Nitz; and his son Michael Bruhn.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Bruhn (Nitz); his sons, Scott of Omaha and Austin of Columbus; his child-in-law BJ (Raechelle); his grandchildren, Jazmine and Max of Lincoln; his daughter-in-law Shelly; his granddaughters-in-law, Hannah and Kaitlyn of Lincoln; and his sister Nadine Cattau (Roger) of Creston, Nebraska..
