He was predeceased by: his parents, John Raftery and Darlene Raftery (McCoig); his parents-in-law, Eugene and Geraldine Meyer; his brother Pat; and his siblings-in-law, Wayne Lauristen and Eve Lewis.

He is survived by: his wife Robyn; his sons, Edward Raftery (Christy) and William Raftery (Brandy); his grandchildren, Megan Raftery and Kristopher Tucker (Fairen); his great grandchild Flora Tucker; his sister Jeanette Lauristen; and his siblings-in-law, Joy Meyer, Warren Meyer (Kim) and Jerry Lewis. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
