With sadness, we share the passing of Lou Ann Engler Shoemaker in Lincoln, Nebraska. Lou Ann, born on July 26, 1937 in Granite City, Illinois, passed away on June 11, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husbands, Lawrence "Larry" E. Engler (Larry) and Harley G. Shoemaker; her parents, Glenn K Jepsen and Mary Jepsen (Embree); her brother Glen T. Jepsen; her grandparents, Miron and Minerva Jane Embree; and her pet Baby.
She is survived by: her siblings, Mary Lee Sanders (Grayson) and Steven Jepsen (Lynn); and her children, Laurie Somers (John), Gregory Engler (Monica), Michele Warren (Jeff) and Melinda Harshbarger (Todd). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
