He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Hoyt and Ruby Hoyt (Denies); his wife Marabell; and his brothers, William "Bill" and Donald.

He is survived by : his granddaughter Karen; his children, Scott Hoyt and Karen Soucie; his grandchildren, Tara Miller (Ryan), Joslyn Brinkman (Cody) and Patrick Soucie; his great grandchild Wesley Miller; and his siblings-in-law, Dale Holst (Shirley) and Marilyn.
