He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Burg and Stella Burg (Smith); his wife Dorris Jean Johnson; and his daughter Marta Dickson (Burg). He is survived by: his son John Burg (Debra) of Pickerel Lake; his grandchildren, IV Dickson (Adrienne) of Lincoln, Nebraska, Angela Burg of Gretna, Nebraska, Ryan Burg (Imanni) of Oak Park, Illinois and Megan Dickson Burg (Elizabeth) of Westminster, Colorado.; and his great grandchildren, Christopher, Bryn, Jed, Evie, Emmett, Stella and Roscoe.
Marlo sustained a life-long involvement in First United Methodist Church of Waverly and was responsible for securing the donation of the land upon which the church now stands.
