He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin Rung and Helen Rung; his brother Brian; and his grandparents, Alta, Thomas Ludwig, Florence and Omar Rung.

He is survived by: his daughter Jessica; his brothers, Steven, Jeffrey (Dot) and Todd (Amy); and his nieces and nephews, Nicholas, Kylie, Lily and Paxton Rung of Lincoln.
