She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Hewitt and Marge Hewitt; her husband Gary Jones; her brother Will Hewitt; and her pets, Chet and Mondo.
She is survived by: her siblings, John (Elizabeth Hansen) of Omaha and Martha Hewitt Livingston (Chris) of Lincoln. She is also survived by six nephews; four cousins; and many friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the First Plymouth Church (2000 D St, Lincoln, NE 68502).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Nebraska Public Media and the Lincoln City Libraries Foundation.
