Matthew Jon Pokorny Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on June 28, 2023, at the age of 44, Matthew Jon Pokorny of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Matthew Jon Pokorny to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his father Michael Pokorny; and his nephew Zane Jedrzejczyk. He is survived by: his mother Gale Pokorny; his stepparents, Gene Furry and Joan Pokorny (Michael); his siblings, Christopher Pokorny (Lincoln), Jonathan (Jennifer) and McKenzie (Jared) Clough (Lincoln); his stepsiblings, Bridget (Todd), Amanda (Eric), Erin (Jeff), Brent Furry (Lincoln) and Michael (Donna); and his nieces and nephews, Ashton Clough, Alexa Jedrzejczyk, Sullivan Jedrzejczyk, Atlas Alvarez, Ethan Alvarez, Carson Campbell, Kyle Campbell, Beckett Martin and Ryland Martin. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.

Since Matt was a cancer survivor and a Make-A-Wish recipient, in lieu of flowers, the family has chosen donations sent to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the family choice of sport oriented charitable organizations determined at a later date.
