He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ernest Mikesell and Mary Hope Mikesell (Irwin); and his siblings, Charles, Wayne, Kenneth, Quentin, George and Nancy.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Mikesell (Petefish); his daughters, Kimberly Deeke (Dana), Rebecca Bailey and Marjorie McKibben (Michael); his grandchildren, Alex Deeke (Becca), Brooke Bailey, Carl Bailey, Tyler Deeke (Logan) and Cade McKibben; his great grandchildren, Ayzlin, Keziah, Elzada Bailey and Charlotte Buresh; and his brother John Mikesell (Margie). He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the family of Mike Mikesell for later designation.
