He was predeceased by: his parents, Delmar Bomberger and Dorothy Bomberger; and his sister Carol Fine. He is survived by: his children, Mike Bomberger Jr. (Jonne), Leah Barkley (Joel), Erin Jenkins (Ryan), Kelsey Bomberger and Briana Johnson (Scott); and his siblings, Delmar Bomberger Jr., Barbara Brown and Brian Bomberger. He is also survived by grandchildren.
