He is survived by: his significant other Linda Jackson; his son Michael Jr. (Chris); his grandsons, Derek (Ana) and Colton (Olivia Hoffman); his son Jeffery (Shelley); his grandchildren, Ryan and AJ; his great grandchildren, Addilyn and Cameron; his significant other's son Brian (Penni); his daughter Amelia; his son-in-law Blake (Kenzi); his grandchildren, Breckyn, Kysen and Kiya; his sister Ann Rehbein (Dave); his sibling's children, Chris and Jennifer; his great-nephews, Devin Von Querner and Greyson Rehbein; his great-niece Camille Rehbein; and also, Trey and Mia.
Memorials may be given to the Michael J. Grutsch Scholarship Fund at the Nebraska Association of Physician Assistants, Lincoln Community Foundation or St. John's Catholic Church.
