He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Ohnoutka and Donna Ohnoutka; and his sister Diane Spradling. He is survived by: his wife Karen Cihal; his sons, Timothy (Andrea) and Eric (Katie); his siblings, Dave Ohnoutka and Linda Berlowitz (Stanley); his brother-in-law Steve Spradling; his grandchildren, Olivia and Carter; and his pets, Zoey and Belle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews among other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the family or donations made to the Hope Fund for Lymphoma and Leukemia Research with the University of Nebraska Foundation.
