He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Schmid and Viola Schmid (Eller); his brother Dave Schmid; his sister-in-law Connie Beck; and his parents-in-law, Willard and Dorothy Beck.
He is survived by: his daughters, Megan Hill (Andy) and Ashley Ulmer (Scott); his grandchildren, Harper Hill, Claire Ulmer and Nora Ulmer; and his brothers, Bob Schmid (Betty), Jim Schmid (Peg) and Bill Beck (Cheri). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home (6800 S 14th St, Lincoln, NE 68512).
Memorials may be given to the family for charitable donations to be made at a later date.
