It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Penny Lynn Simanek in Lincoln, Nebraska, who passed away on February 29, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Frenzen and Effie Frenzen; her sister Dixie Gannon (Ken); and her mother-in-law Geraldine Simanek. She is survived by: her husband Gary Simanek; her children, Paul Robinson (Leslie), Ward Robinson (Cari) and Lynn Robinson (Kevin Widhalm); and her grandchildren, Chloe, Elena, Rudy, Ryker, Reece and Ryder.

Memorials may be donated to the family for future charitable designation.

Penny and I started school together in first grade at Lincoln Northeast Child Center elementary school and were friends all through our school years at LNEHS until I moved to Arizona in 1975. Penny was a fun gal whose smile would light up a group. I was the student who lined up her date with H.P. Robinson and years later they were married.
