She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Mills and Gertrude Mills (Flory); her husband Larry Mitchell; her brother Richard; her siblings-in-law, Carol Mills, Merlin and Myrna Mitchell; and her niece Joni Mitchell.
She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Mitchell (Lincoln) and Daniel Mitchell (Cabo); her granddaughter Haylee Mitchell; and her sister Shirley Kottwitz (Steve). She is also survived by several nieces, and nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home (4040 A St, Lincoln, NE 68510). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (3880 L St, Lincoln, NE 68510). A reception will be held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
