She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl McGeary and Maude McGeary (Lyne); her husband Eugene Purcell; her daughter Deanna Reed; her siblings, Betty Price, Lois Cheney, Doris Nelson, Nina Snyder and Dwayne McGeary; and her grandson Kajaw Griffiths.

She is survived by: her children, Dianna Gatewood of Salina and Bradley Purcell (Tracy) of Superior, Nebraska; her grandchildren, Houston Becker (Matt), Chase Purcell (Alli Foy), Karie Griffiths, Jeneka Kelly, Stacy Green and Michael Purcell; her sister Bonnie Langer (Frank) of Superior; and her sister-in-law Avadon McGeary of Clearwater, Kansas. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
