She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence VanderGriend (Dorothy) and Dorothy Klerk; her husband Roy; and her grandfather Wismer. She is survived by: her siblings, Clifford, Doris and Marvin VanderGriend; her daughter Kelli Houlihan; her granddaughters, Molli Houlihan, Lacey Houlihan and Cassidy Houlihan; and her daughter Joan (Bill Bonkiewicz).
In lieu of flowers, family asks that donations be made to Capital Humane Society, People's City Mission, American Cancer Society, or St. Paul United Methodist.
