It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Lee Peterson of Lincoln, Nebraska, born in Holdrege, Nebraska, who passed away on December 25, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Robert and Mary Esther Peterson (Jackson); his grandparents, Lena Conover Jackson and Archie Lee Jackson; his siblings-in-law, Kenneth and Eunice Galyen (Dahl); his grandson Kayden Peterson; his brother-in-law Eugene Galyen; and his niece Ann Payne.

He is survived by: his sons, Robert Lee Peterson, Scott (Cassidy McCord) of Knoxville, Tenn, Matthew (Leslie McWard) of Lake Charles and David (Cassandra May) of Lincoln; his sisters, JoDell Payne (John) of Kearney, Nebr, Cynthia Peterson of Lincoln and Ketty Moro of Toronto, Canada; his sisters-in-law, Mariann Von Rein (Drew) of North Bend, Nebr and Suzie Galyen of Meadow Grove; and his grandchildren, MacKenna Peterson, Ethan Peterson, Isabella Peterson, Samantha Peterson, Alexis McWard, Keegan McWard and Xander McWard. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Though he tried his best, complications from Parkinson's Disease, Covid-19 and pneumonia were just too much for him to overcome.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to The Parkinson's Foundation or to the family for a later designation.

“Please accept our deepest sympathy in your loss. Bob was a special member of the HHS Class of 1966. Cheryl will continue to be an honorary member. Bob was always able to bounce back following other illnesses but that was not the case this time. It was always good to see him at class gatherings. He had faithful attendance on our recent Zoom calls. He will be missed but it is also good to know that he is free of pain and suffering. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Nancy & Gerhart”
