It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert J. Turgeon of Lincoln, Nebraska, who passed away on August 16, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Leo V. Turgeon and Vera Turgeon (Weber); his son Dave Simon; and his siblings, LaVern, Doris, Leo and Vera Lee.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Simon; and his children, Jim Turgeon (Tracey), Tami Zobel (Guy), Mark Turgeon (Ann), Cindi Smith (Rob), Jennifer Finley (Shawn), Doug Simon (Nicole), Dan Simon (Alba) and Jon Simon (Mindy). He is also survived by 33 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM and at 5:30 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St Joseph Catholic Church (1940 S 77th St, Lincoln, NE 68506). A rosary will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home (2801 SW Urish Rd, Topeka, KS 66614). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 6:15 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, August 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery (801 SW Westchester Rd, Topeka, KS 66606).
