He was predeceased by : his parents, David Reichel and Ruth Reichel (Huber). He is survived by : his close friend Lois E. Reichel (Lininger); his children, Tony, Tammi Adams (Reichel), David, Sandy Reichel (Claycomb), Jamie and Heather Sears (Reichel); his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Byron Adams, Bobby, Katey Reichel, Matthew and Alex Sears; his siblings, Deb Gleaves (Reichel) and David; and his sister-in-law Jo Ann Lininger (Geisler). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Lincoln Lutheran High School or Messiah Lutheran Church.
