We announce the death of Ronald Roy Herrington of Lincoln, Nebraska, who passed away on October 17, 2026, at the age of 90. Ronald will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Herrington and Gladys Herrington (Loveless); his wife Patty Herrington (Shaw); his siblings, Donald, Howard, LeRoy, Robert, Beverly and Laurie; and his son Jeffrey Herrington.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Herrington (Ellyn) of Mountain Top, PA, Jacqueline Furasek (Bob) of Touhy, NE and Penny Herrington of Lincoln, NE; and his daughter-in-law Tammie Herrington of Lincoln, NE. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home (6800 S 14th St, Lincoln, NE 68512). A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 2:45 PM at the Lincoln Memorial Park and Cemetery (6700 S 14th St, Lincoln, NE 68512).
