He is survived by: his wife Betty Thornton; his daughters, Cindy Howard (Brian), Kim Thornton and Ronda Jones (Craig); his grandchildren, Ryan Howard, Chelsea Taylor, Ashley Barnhart, Abby Jones and Dane Trotter; his great grandchildren, Olivia, Aleisha, Jordan, Tyler Howard, Easton, Paisley Taylor, Georgia, Clara and Elsie Barnhart; and his siblings, Roy Thornton, Peggy Stoker, Jean Blue, Debbie McIntosh and Kathy Jewett.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home (6800 S 14th St, Lincoln, NE 68512). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
