She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Schindler. She is survived by: her daughters, Janelle (Arthur Rosenfeld) and Michelle Schindler (Chris Ziboh); her grandsons, Christopher Oscar Ziboh III and Tasman Ezra Robert Rosenfeld; her brother Ken Backemeyer (Patricia); and her sisters-in-law, Margaret Reibold and Mary Bridgeman. She is also survived by two sons and their children.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Granite City Restaurant (6200 O St, Lincoln, NE 68510).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Sandra's memory to the Capital Humane Society of Lincoln or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
