It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Janssen of Lincoln, Nebraska, born in Filley, Nebraska, who passed away on January 18, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank W. Janssen and Elsie Johnson Janssen; her sister Violet E. Fletcher; and her brothers-in-law, Roger Prochnow, Bob Warren, Harold Radebaugh and Jerry Fletcher.

She is survived by: her husband Virgil Schildt; her children, Barbara Palmer (Adam Palmer) of Lincoln, NE, Lisa Hilzer (Taylor Hilzer) of Lincoln, NE and Aaron Schildt of Lincoln, NE; her granddaughters, Lexi and Nora Palmer; her sister Mildred Radebaugh Warren of Beatrice, NE; her sister-in-law Gloria Prochnow of Pleasant Dale, NE; and her nieces and nephews, Dr. Julie Fletcher (Shelley Fletcher) of Hastings, NE, Teresa Prochnow of Pleasant Dale, NE, Joel Fletcher (Karen Vinella) of Great Falls, VA, Barry Radebaugh (Karen Radebaugh) of Lincoln, NE, David Prochnow of Pleasant Dale, NE and Mark Prochnow (Michelle Prochnow) of Pleasant Dale, NE. She is also survived by numerous cousins and extended family.
