She was predeceased by: her husband Dean Cassell; her parents, Wanita Purdy and Elwood Purdy; and her brother Donny. She is survived by: her daughter Pam; her son-in-law Mac Rodgers; her son Jeff; and her daughter-in-law Mary Cassell. She is also survived by five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, all memorials be sent to the Lincoln Foodbank.
