He was predeceased by: his parents, L. A. Lockert and Barbara Lockert (Swaney); his wife Kathleen; his stepmother Dorothy; his in-laws, Kenneth and Florence Stonebrook; and his sister Lisa Embury.
He is survived by: his sons, Matt Lockert (Brook) of Lincoln and Eric Lockert (Christine) of Lincoln; his grandchildren, Jordan Lockert, Eli, Norah Lockert, Drew and Audrey Erhart; his pet Jack; his brother Matthew Embury; and his aunt Sue Olson. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Roper and Sons South Chapel (3950 Hohensee Dr, Lincoln, NE 68516).
