He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim McKelvey and Fran McKelvey. He is survived by: his wife Roberta; and his children, Matt McKelvey (Rein Nulud), Sarah Rosa (Scott), Lisa Neddenriep (Wade) and Sam McKelvey (Liz). He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Saint Paul United Methodist Church (1144 M St. 68508).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Friendship Home of Lincoln where Steve served on the board for several years.
