He is survived by: his wife Connie Boyd; his children, Gary Shaw, Gregg Shaw (Kim), Stacy Shaw (Tom Callicoatt), Jesse Shaw, Shellie Sabata (Ed) and Kelli Vetter (Brett); his sisters, Nancy Shaw of Springfield, Virginia and Gail Rixstine of Normal, Illinois; his sister-in-law Carolyn Hembree (Bernie Koehne); his grandchildren, Zachary Callicoatt, Jaydon Shaw, Avery Sabata, Elaina Vetter, Shane Vetter, Liam Shaw and Luke Shaw; his great grandchildren, Faith Mettler and Carter Harmes; and his siblings' children, Phil, Tim Rixstine, Brent, Ryan White and Marcia Rixstine.
