He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Bowen Eeckert and Caroline Susan Taylor; his siblings, John Taylor and Jean Wagner; and his parents-in-law, Bernard and Mary Lee Shotkoski.

He is survived by: his wife Jo Taylor; his son Luke Taylor; his daughter-in-law Cassie Taylor; his daughter Lindsey Carlson; his son-in-law Seth Carlson; his grandchildren, Bowen Taylor, Layla Taylor, Estes Taylor, Hayes Carlson and June Carlson; his great grandchild Braelynn Taylor; and his siblings, Dr. Nancy Hicks (Tom), Scott Taylor (Jodie) and Dr. Bruce Taylor (Deb). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
