We announce the death of Thomas Edward Cook (Lincoln, Nebraska), born in Newcastle, Nebraska, who passed away on October 20, 2026, at the age of 74. Thomas will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his mothers, Mattie Cook and Joyce Cook; his granddaughter Ariana Montgomery; his nephew Todd Achenbach; and his parents-in-law, Don and Alice Allensworth.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Cook; his daughters, Lisa Noley, Kimberly Noley and Mismiki Montgomery (Vern); his grandchildren, Darion Montgomery (Mattison), Isaac Montgomery, Malcolm Montgomery, Benjamin Montgomery, Elijah Noley, Grace Noley and Matthew Noley; his great grandchild Jaxon; his sisters-in-law, Sandy Sladky (Dick) and Susie Achenbach; his nieces and nephews, Leslie Poynter, Jennifer Bachelor (Grady), Grant Houser and Devin Houser (Kami); and his cousins, Judith Liddell (Peter), Brian Jones (Moira) and Alan Jones (Norma). He is also survived by numerous extended family members, cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A memorial service was held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home (4040 A St, Lincoln, NE 68510).
