It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas S. Drbal Jr. of Lincoln, Nebraska, who passed away on September 18, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Thomas shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Thomas farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Sylvester Drbal, Sr. and Lydia May Hoffman; and his siblings, Richard Drbal, Lydia Tuhey and Derald Drbal.
He is survived by: his wife Jan Drbal; his children, Tim Drbal (Pam) of Panama City and Tammy Becker (Mike) of Strafford, Missouri; his stepchildren, Teresa Rathje (Shane), Jessie Brophy (John) and Jason Kivett (Marissa); his friend Dave Cunning; and his sister Betty Brooks (Bill). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home Chapel (6800 S 14th St, Lincoln, NE 68512).
