He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Franssen and Magdalen A. Franssen; and his brother Lawrence E. "Lonnie" Franssen. He is survived by: his daughters, Angela M. Franssen and Valerie J. Franssen; his grandson Richard Curtis Weldon, III; and his siblings, Mary Claire Baker (Tom) of Omaha, Diane Horak (Mick) of Lincoln, Kathleen Frisbie (Dave) of Lincoln, James Franssen, Jr. (Mary) and John Franssen of Lincoln. He is also survived by Numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, loyal customers and friends.
Memorials may be given to the Marion Sisters, Christ the King Sisters, Knights of Columbus Council No. 833 and Catholic Social Services.
