It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wendy Jean Francis (Lincoln, Nebraska), born in Red Cloud, Nebraska, who passed away on June 17, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Orval Francis and Phebe Francis (Nicolaisen); her siblings, Jeri Louise and Tim; and her brother-in-law Jerry Newman.
She is survived by: her wife Roxann Nuzum; her brother Jim Francis (Karen) of Lincoln; her nephew Bob Francis (Allison); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Nora of Asheville, NC. and Phebe of Asheville, NC.; her sister-in-law Ronda Newman; her nieces and nephews, Riley and Piper of Council Bluffs, IA; her nephew-in-law Randy Newman (Tina); Lucie, Mia of Talala, OK, Rita Snyder, Kris Yates, Randy Reinhart, Gina Matkin, Pam Blecha, Tammy Foley and Shirly Flynn.
She also enjoyed her friends from grade school who made sure to boost her spirits during her illness and became a monthly meeting group until Covid – but thank goodness for the Facebook group.
Wendy also requested that any memorials be directed to The Cat House of Lincoln or Hearts United for Animals in Auburn, NE.
