He was predeceased by: his father Kenneth Oltmer; his siblings, Judith Lynn Oltmer and Cory Oltmer; and his brother-in-law Walter Rhome. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Oltmer (Hjorth); his sons, John Paul Oltmer, Jr. (JJ), Benjamin James Oltmer and Nicholas Scott Oltmer; his mother Shirley Marshall; his parents-in-law, Vern Hjorth and Shirley Mittan; his siblings, Penny Rhome and Bill Oltmer; and his siblings-in-law, Chris Hjorth, Sarah Ijames (Chad), Mandy Hjorth and Lindi Oltmer. He is also survived by nieces, and nephews.
