She was predeceased by: her parents, Ervin Ellsworth and Rose Josephine Whelchel (Wagner); her son Martin Ervin; her grandson Emmanuel Carlson; and her siblings, Jerry, Gary, Terry Whelchel, Dorothy Abbott, LaVonne Frank, Shirley Freeman, Betty Beldin, Sheryl Bostwick, Darlene Schumacher and Jean Slater.
She is survived by: her husband Loy Nelson of Maskell; her daughter Tara Lynn Wieseler (Darrell) of Maskell; her grandchildren, Marti Lynn Pfister (Ethan) of Maskell and Colby Paul Carlson (Jenna Schinstock) of West Point; her great grandchild Amelia Kay Pfister of Maskell; and her sisters, Laura Schumacher of Iowa City, IA and JoAnn Chandler of Dakota City, NE. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
