He is survived by: his wife Sandra Gaedke; his son Bradley James Welden (Dawn); his stepchildren, Susan Demorest (Dean) and Jeremy Teel; his grandchildren, Justin Welden, Dyllon and Josalyn Demorest; his siblings, Lee, Lynnell Welden and Crystal Stewart (Bill); and his siblings-in-law, Duanne Gaedke (Dixie), Ron Gaedke (Deb), Jerome Gaedke (Mary), Bill Stewart (Crystal), Terri Gaedke and Alice Gibson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Adams & Swanson Funeral Home (421 W 4th St, North Platte, NE 69101). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Grace Community Bible Church (1021 S Buffalo Bill Ave, North Platte, NE 69101). The military honors will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Fort McPherson National Cemetery (12004 South Spur 56a, Maxwell, NE 69151).
Memorials may be made to Grace Church, St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the donor's choice, in lieu of flowers.
