He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard Garner and Elizabeth Garner; his wife Deborah Garner; his parents-in-law, Luther and Mrytle Thomas; and his siblings, Douglas Garner, Joyce Mizner and Ruth Brown.
He is survived by : his son Kenneth Joe Garner (Chris) of Maryland; his grandchildren, Kayden, Mylee, Harlan and Case Kristad; his sister Mary Ann Rudloff (Nick) of Crawford, NE.; and his brother-in-law Joe Brown of LaVista, NE.
A memorial has been established for the VFW or Dawes County Veterans' Honor Guard or Our Savior Lutheran Church. Donations may be sent in care of Chamberlain Chapel, P.O. Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337.
