He was predeceased by: his wife Loretta (Baumfalk); his parents, Ira and Cora; his brothers, Marshall and Gerald; his sisters-in-law, Naomi and Della; and his brother Glen.
He is survived by: his sons, Keith (Joan) of McCook and Gene (Tracy) of Champion; his grandchildren, Schyler Heathers (Makala) of Imperial, Chantal Cecava (Andrew) of Lincoln, Shaylee Heathers (Jim) of Roca, NE and Trae Heathers of McCook; his great grandchildren, Greyson and Gavin Cecava; and his brother-in-law Arnold Baumfalk of St. Helena, OR..
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Methodist Church (402 Center Ave N, Curtis, NE 69025). The inurnment will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fort McPherson National Cemetery (12004 South Spur 56a, Maxwell, NE 69151). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 11:00 PM at the Curtis Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be used for the Wauneta Library, Wauneta EMS & the Wauneta Care & Therapy Center.
