He is survived by: his aunts and uncles, Sylvia Houchin (Wood), Vivian Gibbs (Wood), Lewis Patzelt, Lloyd, Quentin, Marion, Dale, Ivan, Ellis and Wilbur Wood; his father-in-law Jim Brooks; his nephew Rob McConville; his wife Michelle; his children, Michael Wood (Diana) of Evans, Colorado and Jeanette Wood (Dan Brauch) of Berthoud, Colorado; his stepchildren, Joe Adams (Monique) of Evans, Colorado and Jamie Scott (Charles) of Council Bluffs, Iowa; his grandchildren, Taylor Wood, Garrett Wood, Samuel Garcia, Emerald Garcia, Veronica Adams, Mikayla Bruntz, Alyssa Adams and Eloise Scott; his sisters, Carla Hill (Jeff) of Mt View Arkansas and Karen Erickson (Roger) of Grain Valley, Missouri; his sisters-in-law, Sheree Forgue (Rick Wenthold) of North Platte and Cindy McConville (Bob) of Indianola, Nebraska; and his mother-in-law Lavera Brooks of McCook. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel (607 Norris Ave, McCook, NE 69001). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Eagles Club.
