She was predeceased by : her parents, Victor Blackman and Leoma Blackman (Tomlin); and her brother Bob. She is survived by : her sister Virginia Liess Blackman; her nephews, Greg and Kevin Blackman; her siblings-in-law, Mary Cox and Ron Cox; her husband Gene Liess of McCook; her children, Paul Liess (Lauri) of Lexington, Christine Carfield (Dave) of McCook, Pamela Reese (Ryan) of Arapahoe, Cherri Liess (Craig Jumps) of McCook and Jill DeMoss (Brad) of Waverly, Nebraska; her brother Gene Blackman (Lillian) of Palisade, CO; and her siblings-in-law, Gale Liess (Claudia) of Bartley and Belinda Blackman of Lincoln. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.

In Lieu of Flowers the family has asked that Memorials be addressed to either the St Patrick's School in McCook or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
