He was predeceased by: his father Lee Francis Shields; his grandparents, Catherine, Delbert Shields, Varlan Neal and Herman Veith; his uncle Alan Shields; his aunt Teresa Dowling; and his cousins, Mackenzie Shields and Jesse Lemmer.
He is survived by: his mother Paula Jean Veith (Daniel) of Rock Island, Illinois; his siblings, Jason Veith (Melissa) of Ogallala, Tracy Crocker (Joshua) of McCook, Shylo Baugh (Qaude) of Bennington and Angel Samson (Russell) of Aberdeen; and his nieces and nephews, Collin, Jaycee Crocker, Josie, Coralee Veith, Max, Sadie Baugh, Tate and Luke Samson.
A memorial service was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Carpenter-Breland Funeral Home (305 W C St, McCook, NE 69001).
