He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond J. Matson and Charollette L. Matson (Decker); his brothers, Raymond and Timothy Matson; and his cousins, Benny Foster, Tammy Bravehawk and Justin Patras.
He is survived by: his wife Ann; his children, Krista Bose (Dylan Hays) of Oberlin, KS, Dawn Opfer (Micheal) of Central City, NE and Weston Matson of McCook, NE; his grandchildren, Nicolas, Tomas Opfer, Nathan, Briella Bose, Leon and Dax Hays; and his siblings, Laura Gidcumb (Allen) of McCook, NE and Bill Patras (Barb) of McCook, NE.
