He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Weigel and Ethyl Weigel Sr. (Hedke); his parents-in-law, Orville and Elaine Skiles; his sisters, Norma Menu (Glen), Marilyn Proschaska and Nona Leitner; and his nephew Ed Menu.
He is survived by: his wife Vicky (Skiles); his sons, Mike Weigel (Val) of Omaha, Pat Weigel of Omaha and Shawn Weigel (Buffey) of Kansas City, MO; his grandchildren, Rebecca Ritterbush (Jason) of Omaha, Emily Weigel, PJ Weigel of Omaha, Connor Weigel of Omaha and Lainee Weigel of Kansas City, MO; his great grandchildren, Gabbie Ritterbush, Roman and Leon Ponce of Omaha; his brothers-in-law, Gary Skiles (Marti) of Redmond, OR, Doug Skiles (Shary) of McCook and Don Leitner of Boulder, CO; and also Brad Riemenschneider (Sharleen) of McCook.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Otto's name are suggested to Memorial United Methodist Church in McCook or to the McCook Humane Society.
