With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ralph W Bretton (McCook, Nebraska), born in Phillipsburg, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 3, 2026 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mavor Bretton and Ethel Bretton (Smith); his grandchildren, Susan, Jordan Doris and Lila Bretton; his siblings, Lila Bretton, Roy Bretton and Rex Bretton; and his in-laws, Wilfred and Betty Nondorf.

He is survived by: his wife Marge Bretton of McCook, NE; his daughters, Suzie Doris Sandy (Larry) of McCook, NE and Sonja Bretton of McCook, NE; his grandchildren, Jonathan Johnson, Jacob Bretton (Ariel), Levi Doris (Brooke), Marcus Florom (Makayla), Anthony Fischer (Jayda), Kathleen Chancellor (Seth), Matthew Florom (Destiny) and Ian Lee; his great grandchildren, Charlotte Johnson, Abigail, Allison Bretton, Lainey Doris, Annalynn, Paisley Florom, Amayah Fischer, Maverick1, Miquella Chancellor and Maverick2 Florom; his aunts and uncles, Vannetta and Bob Woodard; and his sister Luella Snyder (Irvin) of Ness City, KS. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are to be in Ralph's name to be designated at a later date.
