He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leland I Messersmith and Gloria M Messersmith (Cox) of Cozad, NE; his wife Lorraine C Messersmith (Gaboury) of McCook, NE; his nephew Ivan Messersmith; his daughters, Nicole Marie Messersmith of Deadwood, SD, Brittany Ann Burton of Valparaiso, NE and Katie Lynn Messersmith of Lincoln, NE; his siblings, Chuck Messersmith (Mary) of Chandler, AZ, Shawn Messersmith (Carol) of Grand Island, NE, Shane Messersmith (Marla) of Indianola, NE, Tami Sturgeon (Doug) of Cozad, NE, Serena Winter of Gothenburg, NE, Sherilyn Stott (Bob) of Cozad, NE and Jolene Heins (Jeremy) of Cozad, NE; his grandchildren, Hunter, Jude, Creighton, Brooklyn, Millie, Tessa, Rex Tyler and Charlie; and his great grandchildren, Evelyn and Eleanor.
