With sadness, we share the passing of Shaun Alan Cox (McCook, Nebraska). Shaun, born on December 3, 1990, passed away on August 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brother Mathew Cox; his cousin Cassandra Cox; his grandparents, Stan, Rochelle Cox and Geraldine Golbek; and his uncle Robert Smith.
He is survived by: his parents, Letha Cox (Golbek) and Cloyd Cox; his girlfriend Lea Perry; his grandmother Miriam Golbek; his sisters, Jennifer Cox (Louis Butler), Liz Taylor and Anna (Wes Gilland); his nieces and nephews, Chloe Johnson, Mason Wilcox, Chance Wilcox, Shelby Butler, Steven Taylor, Matthew Taylor and Daphne Degener; his aunts, Ernestine and Pam Cox; his uncle Kevin; and his cousins, Adam Smith, Bryan Cox, Lauren Marsh, Bradley and Rena Cox.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel (607 Norris Ave, McCook, NE 69001). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the family of Shaun Cox for future designation.
