We are sad to announce that on October 3, 2025, Derek Rea of McCool Junction, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Derek shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Derek farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Metz Mortuary (109 S Lincoln Ave, York, NE 68467). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Metz Chapel (109 S Lincoln Ave, York, NE 68467).
Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
